Ryan wanted to go to another swimming hole in Wimberley this summer so we decided to wait until school started. So, Friday we decided to make a day trip up to Wimberley. Lucky for me we drove right past the outlets in San Marcos so we stopped to do a little shopping. I was so excited to find the perfect green quilted bumper and pink and white paisley crib skirt for baby girl"s room (no - she doesn't have a name yet) at the Pottery Barn Outlet. The best part was they rang up even cheaper than they had on the tags so we got a super deal! After shopping at a few stores we headed to Wimberley. We weren't quite sure where the swimming hole was so we stopped at the information center. Asher was asleep so Ryan ran in and I stayed in the car. I knew there must be some chatty ladies in there when he was gone forever! Finally he came back asking me what I felt like for lunch since the ladies were sure I had some craving and wanted to send us to the perfect place to eat. We did have a great little lunch, but unfortunately school starting back up meant the swimming hole was closed. So, we headed to the river instead. Asher and Ryan had lots of fun in the water as long as the geese didn't get too close. Asher hated the geese and cried everytime they started squawking. No Reed roadtrip in the hill country would be complete without a bbq stop, so we stopped in Lockhart on the way home. We were quite disappointed in Black's bbq except for Asher who loved their baked beans. We had lots of fun and can't wait for another trip to the hill country.
