Weekend Recap

We had lots of fun this weekend. Friday we took Asher to the ward playgroup easter egg hunt. He wasn't really into the hunt, but he loved walking all around the park. Saturday the Peterson's invited us to Brazos Bend with them. We saw quite a few alligators and had fun having a picnic lunch there. We also took our first family bike ride later that day. Asher actually fell asleep in the bike trailer after we took a peek at the alligator that lives by us. We love having wonderful weather to enjoy the outside.

On The Move

My aunt Monya kept telling me that I needed a new trick besides roaring like a lion. Well, she sure wishes she were here to see my new trick!

Houston Rodeo

Last Wednesday we picked Ryan up from work and headed to the Houston Rodeo. Next year we won't go during spring break or on a discounted day, but we had lots of fun despite the crowds. Asher's favorite thing was the horses. He could have watched them running around the arena all night. After seeing the horses and other animals we ate the must at the rodeo, a funnel cake, had some dinner and then went to see the rodeo. It was getting late so we only stayed for a little bit but enjoyed watching the bare back riders and then headed home. Can't wait until next year!

Happy St. Patty's Day

Last year on my friend Alyssa's blog she had the cutest St. Patty's Day treats so I figured I would do a little something this year. Asher and I made a banner for the entry way. It's hard to tell in the picture but his hands are making four leaf clovers on the sides of the word LUCKY. His hands are so short and fat they make such cute cloveres! And we left dad a fun surprise - a pot of gold and Lucky Charms. Hope you all have an especially lucky day!

Our Little Cowboy

Last weekend before heading to a birthday party we stopped in old Katy and took some pictures of Asher for his birthday invites. We were quite surprised what a good mood he was in and how cute they turned out. Here are a few that we didn't get to use on the invites.

Early Birthday Present

Last week our new swingset was delivered and set-up. We lucked out and it was a super nice day so Asher and I sat on the back porch while they set it up. He loved watching the guys put it up. And he just loves to be outside! We have used it everyday that it has been nice and Asher loves it! He especially loves spinning on the tire swing. Anyone want to come and play??

Katy Rodeo

Two weekends ago we went out to dinner and to the Katy rodeo with another couple in our ward the Millers. We had lots of fun getting to know them and Asher loved taking everything in at the restaurant and seeing the horses at the rodeo. Unfortunately, it was seriously freezing with wind gusts making it feel even worse at the outdoor arena so we didn't stay for the whole thing. Asher was really happy when we got there, but it quickly changed as it got colder and colder, but we couldn't blame him! We can't wait to take Asher to the Houston Rodeo next week!

We took Asher to his first Rockets game on Wednesday night. (Ryan was able to get some really great tickets from a guy at work.) Asher really enjoyed the introductions of the teams with all the noise and lights and made friends with all the people around us. We made it through three quarters and then had to head home.
