"Pregnancy Brain" (No I am not pregnant!)

I heard a ton of people talking about pregnancy brain and how they would forget everything and mix dates and times up. I never really had any of that...until today. I guess I should call it "Baby brain" or something like that. I needed some tomatoes for dinner tonight and figured Asher and I would just run to the store. We get to the store and I go to get him out of his carseat, but then remembered I had printed a few coupons so I went to move his door and go the passenger side for them and what happened...the door closed and YES it was locked!! So, there I was in the parking lot with no cell phone and my baby locked in the car. Of course there is a code on the driver side, but I don't know it. Ryan does, but of course I don't know his number because it is programmed into my cell phone that is sitting next to Asher. So, the lady getting out of her car next to me couldn't really understand what I was asking her to do by running to the store and having them call the fire department so she stood by my car and I ran up to the store. Luckily, the employee outside had her cell phone and let me call 911. Let me first say that the fire department was there in about 5 minutes and they were awesome! Asher didn't even know anything was going on, but the 911 operatore was an idiot!! I told her where I was and she kept saying "the one in Katy" when I had told her my cross streets and that it was Richmond. She must of said it three times - I was starting to cry at this point and she was definitely making it worse! Luckily I was in front of the store and found the freaking address for her. Once she dispatched the fire department she asked if I wanted to stay on the phone with her- are you kidding me! The store manager was really nice and waited with me telling me how she locked her now 16 year old son in the car during the summer! So, yes I am super grateful it was cool outside today and that he was still strapped into this seat. So, just like when we locked ourselves out of our house and told everyone to get a spare key (but not everyone listened to use) you should all know your car codes if you have one and your emergency numbers, not just have them programmed into your phone! I have definitely learned my lesson!! Hope you all had a better day than me!!

I am so sorry that stinks!! I do have a door code and use it way to often!

that sounds like something I would do. no fun, luckily Caroline is old enough to open the door herself.

How terrible! I'm glad the fire department was there to help you. I'm grateful I've never locked myself out of my car or house before.

Wow, sounds like an adventure. I don't have a code so I would definitely be in trouble. Jayson let Bennett lock himself in my car last week out front and he colored with a highlighter all over my passenger seat!
