We had a fabulous Christmas this year. Christmas Eve we had a yummy chili dinner with the Petersens and Reed grandparents and then Ryan, Asher, grandparents, and I drove to Pecan Grove to look at lights. It was a lot of fun and hopefully will be part of our tradition. Christmas morning we followed the Ashe tradition and read the Christmas story before going out and seeing what Santa had left. Asher had lots of fun opening his gifts. Santa must of thought he was extra good this year. He loved all his new toys, but his favorite was from Ryan and I: a new car! He didn't want to open up any of his presents once he saw the car so we had to put it behind the couch to open Santa's gifts. Ryan tries to sneak him by the playroom so he can't see it so he doesn't have to push him around. Once he's in he doesn't want to get out! After we opened gifts we headed to the Petersen's for a wonderful breakfast. Then we had Christmas dinner over at our house later in the day. Ryan made a really great pork tenderloin (though he greatly overestimated and ended up with 6 tenderloins for 10 people!) and we had yummy sides to go with it. We had so much fun Christmas day that we forgot to have Asher open his stocking until it was time for bed. Luckily, Santa left some bath toys that he could play with before his nightly bath. We are so grateful for the birth of the Savior and the opportunity we had to celebrate this wonderful holiday with family and friends.
Asher, such excitement and joy in your face when you saw your new car!! You didn't look that excited when we flew into Houston December 26th!! Excited, just not as excited as a new car!! But it was fun pushing you around the house in it....too cold to go outside. Maybe in April! Az Grandma

He is getting so big! And those teeth look like they're making him drool all over himself.
