(Can you tell he is an only child - gotta have a camping shirt for the campout!)
This weekend Ryan was so excited to go camping. With the cold and rainy weather I wasn't too excited, but it turned out to be a great weekend. Friday late afternoon we drove up to Inks Lake and met our friends the Hudsons. We set up camp when we arrived but, unfortunately everything was a little soggy from the day of rain so we couldn't get a fire going. We ended up cooking our foil dinners on our camping stove, but they were still very yummy. Saturday we hiked around the park and then the boys decided to take the kayak out on the lake. They also decided it was warm enough to swim, but they sure looked cold after getting out! That night we headed to Llano for some barbecue at Coopers. Then we headed back to camp for my favorite part of camping - s'mores. Luckily, the boys got a fire going enough for everyone to get their fill. Sunday morning after breakfast it started raining so Ryan literally threw everything into the back of the car and we headed home. Asher was great during the whole trip and really loved being outside so much. On the other hand he loved being held all weekend too so we are slowly getting him used to being put down again. We had so much fun - thanks for coming with us Hudsons! These two are so cute!!
