Asher's Blessing Weekend

This past weekend we were able to bless Asher and have a ton of fun with all the family that came to see his blessing. Friday we headed out to the alligator park. We got there fairly early and had breakfast. Then we started our hunt to see alligators. We actually saw quite a few and I think most of the Arizonans got their first taste of Texas weather. So, we headed to the pool after we got home. Since a trip to Katy isn't complete without a stop to Lupe's we had takeout for dinner that night. I think it won everyone over - good thing since my mom raved about it before they all came. Saturday was the Fourth of July. We started the festivities with a short parade (the best kind) in the neighborhood and then some free ice cream. We had a cook-out for lunch with hamburgers and hotdogs and the kids decorated a Fourth of July shirt. Sunday was Asher's blessing. Ryan did a great job and we were grateful that our families could share in the special day. After church we had a spread of brisket and all the fixings. We also tried to take a picture of David, Asher and Bennett in their Hawaiian outfits. Have you ever tried to take a picture of a 6 month old, 2 month old, and a year old boy - don't it is pretty much impossible! Monday we decided to go to the butterfly museum. It was a lot of fun despite my inability to get around downtown! We just wanted to thank everyone that made the trip to join us for this awesome weekend! Grandma and Grandpa Ashe, Grandma and Grandpa Reed, Ryan's, Harrison's, Peterson's, Funk's, Ashley and Landon. Enjoy the pictures!

Love the pictures. We had so much fun. Taking the boys pictures in their Hawaiian outfits was hilarious! The only smile we got from David was when Bennett was crying! I'm so glad we got to be there for the week!
