Before heading off to church we snapped a few pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits. They were 100% better than our previous Christmas pictures! They looked so cute together! We love these two!

Easter Sunday
Sunday we had a great Easter. It was a great day to have 1 o'clock church. The kids found their baskets and had time to play with their new things before heading off to church. Atley's basket was sitting on the tv stand and Asher kept wanting it to be his! We kept prodding him to find another one and sure enough he started to go hunting for his basket. He finally found it behind the couch. The kids loved their baskets!

After church we had a wonderful meal at the Reeds and all the cousins had an Easter egg hung. Asher always loves Sunday when he can play with his cousins. We had such a great Easter and are grateful for Jesus Christ and the Atonement so that our family can be together forever. We hope everyone else had a great Easter as well!

Easter Egg Hung
Last Sunday night my friend sent a few texts and some emails and put together an awesome egg hunt for some of the kids in our ward. Asher knew exactly what to do this year and had a great time with all his friends. I love days that we spend all morning at the park in the heat! (well because it means Asher will actually take a nap!) Thanks Jamie! Here are a few cute pictures of the kids.

Choo Choo I'm 2!! Party!
We had so much fun having a train party for Asher's second birthday. He was so lucky that Grandma Ashe was here to visit the week of the party so she could help me get everything ready. (Yes I made her help me make all the aprons!) Asher and his friends had so much fun painting their trains wearing their little aprons, whacking the pinata, eating the yummy food, and playing on the swingset. We are so glad that we have some of our awesome family and really great friends here in Texas to help us celebrate. And Asher loved that Grandpa Ashe was able to fly in for a super quick trip for the party too. He keeps asking about "bampa". Thanks for coming everyone and especially Taryn for taking most of these pictures for me!

Happy Birthday Asher!
I can hardly believe that Asher turned 2 today! We love having him in our family and it is so fun to watch him grow. He is starting to talk a lot more and likes to be independent - in his words "no me". Here is what he is up to:
- Loves trains and anything about trains
- Likes to play outside - mowing the lawn and on the swingset
- Loves to lay next to sister and hold her hand - sometimes not so gently!
- Loves the color red - yes he will point out every red light while we are driving or anything red that we pass and anything red in the house or on your clothes
- Loves to laugh
We love him so much and can't wait to see what fun the next year brings!

4 Months Old
It is hard to believe that Atley is already four months old. We love having her in our little family and she is such a great baby. She is starting to like watching her brother play, sitting in the bumbo, playing peek-a-boo, and grabbing her toys while she is laying on her play mat. She is great little talker and is getting very close to rolling over. We are so lucky to have such a sweet little girl! Here are her stats from her doctors appointment:

Heaven!
Yes, yesterday we went to Asher's idea of heaven. A place where there are trains to ride and to watch all day. My friend told us about live steam engine train rides on the third Saturday of the month just north of Katy. So, of course we wanted to take Asher. Well, it is actually a bunch of guys that love building small scaled steam, propane or electric engines that are modeled after various trains. They have built an entire track around one side of the park and have free rides for anyone that wants to go. Asher and Ryan waited quite a while to get on the first time and Asher loved it. He didn't mind standing in line since you can see the trains coming and going. After their ride we had a picnic lunch and decided to ride again. The line was much shorter and this time we took along sister. We then went and watched the miniature trains and Asher did not want to leave. Atley was great all day and we had such a great time as a family. We'll probably be there again next month!

So Much Fun!
I guess we have been having so much fun lately that I just haven't gotten around to blogging. Here is a quick update of what we have been up to:
Atley was loving this too even though she was ready to be done by the time we got the video.
Ryan decided it was time to cut Asher's hair (since he was continually being called a girl) and luckily he did great. His curls are still there and he looks so cute! His hair seems to grow as fast as Ryan's so it is pretty much back to shag length, but we love it. Couldn't get his eyes off the tv and sucker!

Old Town Katy has a park shaped like a train so we decided to take the kids there one Saturday. Asher had lots of fun and Atley even got to go down the slide!

Asher is really loving being a big brother. He loves to play "peek-a-boo" with Atley, help get her pacifier or blanket, and holding her. They are so cute together.

Valentine's Day was lots of fun. Asher got a new train book and puzzle and couldn't have been happier! He just loves trains! Atley got some play plates, cups, and utensils to use with her forthcoming kitchen and the Very Hungry Caterpillar. She loved having her dad read it to her.

Ryan's sister and family came for a visit and the whole Reed family was able to be together for a few days. We had lots of fun at Pump it Up and hanging out with the cousins. Asher misses having some boy cousins around and lots of fun with Devin and Graham. We were also going to get some family pictures, but the weather wasn't too cooperative so Lindsey just snapped some around the house. Luckily, we got some cute ones! Thanks Lindsey!

The weather has been beautiful lately and we love playing outside on the swingset. Asher loves to eat his snack on the fort on top. We can't wait for so many more fun days this spring.
