So Much Fun!

I guess we have been having so much fun lately that I just haven't gotten around to blogging. Here is a quick update of what we have been up to:

Atley was loving this too even though she was ready to be done by the time we got the video.

Ryan decided it was time to cut Asher's hair (since he was continually being called a girl) and luckily he did great. His curls are still there and he looks so cute! His hair seems to grow as fast as Ryan's so it is pretty much back to shag length, but we love it. Couldn't get his eyes off the tv and sucker!

Old Town Katy has a park shaped like a train so we decided to take the kids there one Saturday. Asher had lots of fun and Atley even got to go down the slide!
Asher is really loving being a big brother. He loves to play "peek-a-boo" with Atley, help get her pacifier or blanket, and holding her. They are so cute together.

Valentine's Day was lots of fun. Asher got a new train book and puzzle and couldn't have been happier! He just loves trains! Atley got some play plates, cups, and utensils to use with her forthcoming kitchen and the Very Hungry Caterpillar. She loved having her dad read it to her.
Ryan's sister and family came for a visit and the whole Reed family was able to be together for a few days. We had lots of fun at Pump it Up and hanging out with the cousins. Asher misses having some boy cousins around and lots of fun with Devin and Graham. We were also going to get some family pictures, but the weather wasn't too cooperative so Lindsey just snapped some around the house. Luckily, we got some cute ones! Thanks Lindsey!

The weather has been beautiful lately and we love playing outside on the swingset. Asher loves to eat his snack on the fort on top. We can't wait for so many more fun days this spring.

Atley Kae

Atley has been getting so big and had her 2 month check up a few weeks ago. Her stats:

Weight: 11lbs 6oz. (64%)
Height: 23 1/2" (87%)
Head: 15" (32%)

She has started smiling and we love it. She is such a cute girl and a great baby. She has finally started sleeping longer than two hours at a time - I guess she just hated the pack-n-play and wanted to sleep in her own crib! She gets up earlier then her brother and enjoys hanging out with mom in bed. She also loves to be held and also watch her brother play. We are so glad to have her in our family.

I know you are all shocked she doesn't have a headband on
so I added another picture too, but this was her best smile

Atley's Blessing

We were lucky enough to have lots of family here to attend Atley's blessing. The blessing was wonderful thanks to her dad and her dress was amazing thanks to Grandma Ashe. She wasn't too happy right before church, but she was so good during the blessing and loved to sleep in everyones arms the rest of the afternoon. We are so lucky to have Atley in our family. Everytime someone sees me with Asher and Atley they say how lucky I am to have a boy and a girl - and I really am. It was a great day and we loved having family at our house aftwerwards. Thanks to all that came. Isn't she cute?
I just love this picture!

Bayou Wildlife Park

We were excited to find out that the Bayou Wildlife Park was open on New Years Day! We wanted to take start taking our visitors here after visiting with our playgroup. Ryan's parents and the Harpers were able to come along too. The best part was when mom fed the ostriches across Khendra who was completely afraid of them! The kids were even able to ride the ponies. We all had a great time!

New Years 2010

We were very lucky this year and after having almost all of Ryan's family here for Christmas (Bexar and her family were thoroughly missed) my parents and the Ryan's came to visit for Atley's blessing. We decided to go to San Antonio for a night and enjoy the sites. Lets just say the first day wasn't exactly what we had planned - much longer trip than planned to get to the outlets in San Marcos, a wrong turn to find a store right by the hotel, a horrible mariachi band singing at the top of their lungs right next to us at the restaurant, and my phone ending up in the bottom of the river - but we did have fun seeing the river walk all lit up and on the boat ride that night. The next day went much smoother. We were able to see the Alamo and then head to the Missions which we hadn't seen before. We then stopped at Texas Pride BBQ, which was awesome, and then headed home. Later that night we had lots of fun doing fireworks and sparklers with the kids and ringing in the new year.

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas this year. We got to spend a lot of time with our families and enjoying the season. We were all ready for Santa to come:The kids must of been good because he brought a lot of stuff.Asher was so excited about his new train table that we didn't open anything else before heading to breakfast at the Peterson's.
Asher tried to tell Atley it was Christmas and Santa had come, but she didn't seem to care.

It was a great breakfast with lots of yummy food. After breakfast we headed home and started getting things ready for Christmas dinner. We tried to open Santa's gifts and stockings, but once Asher found the Thomas the Train pez dispenser he was done. He also got some candy, a headlamp, legos, a cool spaceship tent, a Woody toy, a ride on toy, fridge magnets, and more. He has been loving having so many new toys. Atley got some new clothes, a doll, alphabet flashcards, a lollipop onesie, crocheted hat, car seat toy, and more.

Asher loves wearing his light and being just like his dad!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too!

Surgery

Asher had to have a small surgery on Dec 21st. Of course they were running a little behind and he started getting a little cranky - he does not do well without food!, but he was really good the rest of the time. Santa even visited their floor in the hospital and brought a cute white bear for all the kids. Asher didn't think too much of Santa when we went to La Centerra, but once he saw this one giving something out he didn't have any problem going and getting the bear. He got to watch a lot of Elmo, but it was tough keeping him down the next few days. Luckily, everything went well and he was back to his happy self by Christmas.
