Family Photos

Our good friend Marie took some family pictures for us the past few weeks. We had some turn out really well. Here are some of my favorites. Thanks again Marie!

Favorite things to do with Dad

One of Asher's favorite things to do with his dad, especially on Sunday afternoons, is to sit outside on the back porch. Since it was pretty bright out right now Ryan thought they should both have their sunglasses on. Don't they look awesome!

Surfside

Saturday Asher had his first trip to the beach. (Judging from how excited Ryan was to go I am sure it won't be his last this summer.) We had a really good time and were so glad that the Hudsons, Nick and Poodle were able to come with us. Asher and I enjoyed the beach under our shade tent and Ryan had fun trying to skimboard. I'll have to get some pictures from Taryn of his attempts. The boys also had fun building a sandcastle and taking out the surfboards. We can't wait until our next trip!

San Antonio Trip

We had a blast this weekend in San Antonio. Susan invited everyone from Houston to the Hill Country Hyatt and Sea World since she was there for a Pediatrics conference.
We rolled into San Antonio Friday afternoon and took Asher for his first swim. Ryan floated down the lazy river with him and got him wet in the baby pool. He sure likes the water. Then we ate at Rudy's, their motto is "worst barbecue in Texas". I wouldn't say worst but not as good as Ryan's.
Saturday morning we hit the pool again then drove across the street to Sea World. It was hot and crowded but that didn't keep us from having a good time. We watched the water skiing show, the dolphin & beluga whale show, and Shamu. I think the best one was the dolphins & belugas. We also saw penguins, more dolphins, sharks, eels, gators, and a bunch people in swimsuits that we would have rather not seen.
Asher was great the whole trip. He was pretty good in the car and slept better in the hotel than he does at home. Grandma Reed bought him a couple of spanish books in Mexico. Thanks for the books and taking us to San Antonio & Sea World. It was fun to see you and hang out with the cousins.

Prize

So, I finally finished Kari's prize for Asher's due date game. I guess I should use the excuse that I have a newborn, but I don't really know how long I can use that. Now Khendra can see what she is missing since she didn't send any pictures yet. (Kari - I'll have my mom bring them to Arizona with her when they visit for the 4th of July. I haven't told her yet so she'll know when she reads this! -Thanks mom!)
